KPK Says There Is No Evidence Of Ganjar's Involvement In E-KTP Corruption, Chusnul Pointes To This Group: Stop Slander!

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said it had not found evidence of the involvement of the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo in the corruption case in the procurement of e-KTP.

With this KPK statement, social media activist Chusnul Chotimah asked groups that often link Ganjar and e-KTP corruption to stop spreading false information.

"Obviously, Drun. If there is no solid evidence, it must be stopped. And if you say someone without evidence is wrong, it's slander, Drun. The reward is not proven e-KTP", said Chusnul through his Twitter account, @ChusnulCh__ quoted Thursday, April 28.

This KPK statement is also evidence that what has been accused by PDIP politicians as mere slander.

"Another slander of Kadrun is refuted!!! Enliven the Unproven Ganjar e-KTP", he explained.

Ganjar's name is often associated with mega-corruption cases that have cost the state up to IDR 2.3 trillion. Ganjar, who was sitting on Commission II of the DPR RI, was said to have enjoyed the flow of hot money to smooth the process of discussing the project.

"Until today, we have not found any evidence or not. We cannot designate someone as a suspect without any evidence", said KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri to reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, April 28.

The KPK, continued Firli, works by existing laws and regulations. Thus, if there is no evidence related to someone's involvement in a corruption case, then an investigation cannot be carried out.

"In fact, if we call someone without evidence it is wrong. This is called legal certainty. This is also called certainty of justice. KPK should not be part of the issue created by people with unclear sources", he said.

"What is certain is that the KPK works by the legislation", added Firli.
