KAPUAS HULU - A photo captured by a surveillance camera regarding the escape of a prisoner in a corruption case in the Kapuas Hulu District Attorney's Office from the Putussibau State Detention Center (Rutan) on Sunday 10 April morning spread and went viral on social media (social media).

From the surveillance camera (CCTV) of the Putussibau Rutan, corruption suspect Dendi Irawan was running wearing a black t-shirt and shorts made of jeans. The photo captured by the camera was quickly spread on social media among the people of Putussibau City.

"The person in question ran in an alley next to the detention center, wearing a black t-shirt, shorts made of jeans and bare feet," said Head of Class II B detention center Putussibau Eri Ilyas, in Putussibau Kapuas Hulu, Monday, April 11 evening.

Dendi Irawan is a suspect in corruption in the construction of the Bunut Hilir Terminal in the Kapuas Hulu area.

Ilyas said, Dendi Irawan fled while helping to dispose of garbage by taking advantage of the situation in the midst of the limitations of the Rutan staff.

According to him, officers from the Putussibau Detention Center together with the police have pursued Dendi Irawan to a village on the coast of the Kapuas river, but to no avail.

"There are residents who saw him and it's fit to Dendi Irawan's characteristics, that's why we chased but have not been found," he said, quoted by Antara.

Meanwhile, the Head of the West Kalimantan Correctional Division, Ika Yusanti, said that she was still giving the Head of the Putussibau Detention Center an opportunity to coordinate with law enforcement officers such as the police to carry out pursuits.

"I asked the head of the Putussibau detention center to form a team with law enforcement officers to pursue them," said Ika.

She also asked all parties to provide support and cooperate with the Putussibau Detention Center so that the escaped prisoner was immediately recaptured.
