April 11 Demonstration In Bali: Students Visit The DPR Building Asking Minister To Talk To The President For 3 Periods Fired, Pecalang Takes Guard

DENPASAR - Students from the Bali National Student League for Democracy (LMND) organized a peaceful demonstration to protest the government's policies which were deemed not pro-people.

The masses held a peaceful protest by bringing trucks. Joint officers, from the National Police and the TNI to Pecalang, participated in securing the peaceful demonstration.

The crowd headed to the front of the Bajra Sandi Monument and gave speeches. After that, they went to the Bali Regional House of Representative's office and forced their way in but were blocked by officers finally they gave speeches in front of the Bali Regional House of Representatives gate.

During the action, they also carried posters with the words, "Control the Prices of Basic Needs", "Immediately Lower Pertamax Fuel Prices", "Finish Solar Scarcity Cases", and "Fire Ministers Talking About Postponing Elections & Three Periods."

Public Relations LMND I Gusti Ngurah Putra Ari Laksmana today's action is the first step.

"Today we are like this first, maybe tomorrow it can be more. This is the beginning of our action which is likely to continue and will be able to expand. Now 20 people as an initial action if our demands are not met we will take action again", said Laksmana.

The masses protested against all government policies which were said to make it difficult for the community.

"Our economy is in minus, therefore, these policies can be burdensome for our society. Especially now that many people say that this economic recovery is one of the things that burden our society", he said.

Meanwhile, a member of the mass action group, Made Wipra Prastistita, explained that he believed Jokowi's statement that he had rejected the president for three terms.

But Jokowi is urged to bring order to his supporters, especially on social media regarding the narrative of the presidential period.

"So far, we have seen several buzzers on social media and in the field, there are also many who still do not understand the constitution of the 1945 Constitution, regarding the presidential term for two terms. I ask the president to at least provide educational education to his supporters and in this regard, There are still many supporters who do not understand the constitution", he said.
