Box Truck Burns On The Purbaleunyi Toll Road Towards Cileunyi

JAKARTA - A box truck caught fire in the first or left lane of the KM 85+200 Purbaleunyi Toll Road towards Cileunyi, Bandung Regency, West Java, in the early hours of Thursday, March 31.

The fire that hit the box truck on the Jatiluhur KM 85+200 section towards Cileunyi at 00:20 western Indonesia time has been handled by officers, PT Jasa Marga wrote on its Twitter account monitored by ANTARA from Jakarta, Thursday morning.

At 00:36 western Indonesia time, the ill-fated vehicle was in the process of cooling down in the outer or left 1-shoulder lane.

PT Jasa Marga did not explain whether there were any victims, the cause of the fire, or the level of damage to vehicles caused by the incident.

On its Twitter account, PT Jasa Marga also informed about the installation of fast train girders in lane 1/left of the Purbaleunyi Toll Road, Cileunyi KM 146 towards Jakarta, so passing motorists are asked to be careful.

Separately, Jasa Marga also recorded the accident of a fuso truck on the Jatiwarna KM 38+500 toll road section towards Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java, at 01:00 western Indonesia time.

Officers have handled the accident in the emergency or left lane by moving the load of the heavy vehicle.

Through its Twitter account, PT Jasa Marga reminded drivers to avoid using cell phones while driving and immediately rest in the "rest area" when tired and sleepy.

Traffic accidents are still common in Indonesia. The Indonesian National Police noted that the number of traffic accidents during Operation Candles 2021 increased by 31 percent compared to the same operation in 2020.
