COVID-19 Update As Of March 10: New Cases 21,311, Active Cases 399,853

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 257,997 specimens were examined with the results of 21,311 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 5,847,900 people and active cases have decreased by 17,366 to 399,853 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, March 10.

Today's recovered cases increased by 38,399 cases, bringing the total to 5,296,634 recovered people. Then, there were 278 positive confirmed cases and a total of 151,413 people.

The province with the highest new cases was in West Java with 4,576 cases and a total of 1,063,228 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 3,546 new cases with a total of 1,211,473 cases. Central Java has 2,642 new cases and a total of 605,955 cases. Then, East Java with 1,575 new cases and a total of 561,528 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 13,178 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 4,096 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 3,709 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 2,375 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 88,476,967.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 15.47 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 21,733 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 192,776,961 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 148,793,531 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 13,686,156. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
