BULELENG - Komang Indra Putra (39) aka Kalik was desperate to take away his ex-girlfriend's motorbike, Putu Ekantari (30) because he was heartbroken.

"The modus operandi in question is using a fake key", said Head of Public Relations of the Buleleng Police, AKP I Gede Sumarjaya, Wednesday, March 2.

The motorcycle theft occurred in the early hours of Saturday, February 12 at Banjar Dinas Beji, Buleleng, Bali.

The victim parked her motorbike in the parents' yard of his new boyfriend.

"The motorcycle belonged to someone else who was rented by the victim. At that time, the motorcycle was parked in the yard of the witness' parents' house, which happened to be parked on the side of the highway. At that time there were still many motorbikes parked apart from the motorbikes that the victim brought", he explained

In the early hours of that morning, the victim was informed by her boyfriend's mother that the motorbike had been taken by a person who apparently was Komang Kalik.

"With this incident, the victim suffered a loss of IDR 5 million. The victim had tried to find the perpetrator but could not find him and reported this incident to the Banjar Sector Police Headquarters", he added.

From that report, the police conducted an investigation to arrest the perpetrator.

"The perpetrator was still carrying the motorbike, then the perpetrator admitted that he took the motorbike using a fake key and also without the permission of the owner", he explained.

The perpetrator told reporters that he brought the victim's motorbike because he was hurt.

"I was hurt by her. Because I saw her with another man at her house because this bike I used to take in the tenant's place so I took the bike", said Kalik.
