Jokowi Headed To The City Of Solo To Attend The Funeral Of His Uncle, H Miyono Suryosardjono

JAKARTA - Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakoso said the plan was that the late uncle of Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi), H Miyono Suryosardjono or Miyono, would be buried at the Mundu Family Astana, Jalan Raya Solo-Purwodadi KM 9 Karanganyar, today, Monday, February 28, around 11.00 WIB.

Meanwhile, President Jokowi is scheduled to depart at 07.30 WIB from Jakarta to attend a funeral in Solo.

Teguh also said that the Surakarta City Government would prepare everything from security starting this Sunday, to the departure of the body to its final resting place in Mundu, Karanganyar, on Monday, February 28.

"Later, friends from the TNI and Police will be assisted to prepare it all. We hope that the presence of Mr. President, who had visited Miyono the day before and had asked to be taken to the hospital, but he did not want to", said Teguh, quoted from Antara, Sunday 27 February.

According to Teguh, Mr. Miyono and President Jokowi are very close because of his struggles when Mr. Jokowi was still in the furniture or wood business. This is the background with Mr. Miyono in the furniture business.

Idayati, one of President Jokowi's younger siblings when confirmed, confirmed that her uncle, Miyono, died at his home, at the age of 82 years at around 19.50 WIB due to illness.

Idayati also said that her uncle's body was planned to be buried at the Mundu Family Astana, Raya Solo-Purwodadi Street KM 9 Karanganyar, today, Monday, February 28. The plan is for the body to leave the funeral home at 11.00 WIB.

The late Miyono left behind a wife, Heni Ratnawati Widjaya, six sons/daughters, and 12 grandchildren.

The people of Solo City feel they have lost an important figure over the death of President Joko Widodo's uncle, H Miyono Suryosardjono at the age of 82 years.
