Depok Residents Please Note! City Government Implements 25 Percent Capacity Restriction In Some Public Areas

JAKARTA - The Depok City Government, West Java, has again released the rules for restricting community activities. The regulation is contained in the Decree of the Mayor (Kepwal) of Depok Number: 443/133/Kpts/Satgas/Huk/2022 concerning the Second Extension of Level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) COVID-19.

Through the regulation, public facilities such as public tourist attractions, public parks and other public areas in Depok, West Java, are allowed to open with a capacity of 25 percent, provided that they use the PeduliLindung application to screen all visitors and employees.

"Only visitors with the green category on the PeduliLindung application are allowed to enter, unless they cannot be vaccinated for health reasons," Depok Mayor Mohammad Idris said in a statement quoted by Antara, Sunday, February 27.

Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a parent and show proof of vaccination at least the first dose.

Idris explained that for public transportation, 70 percent capacity was applied and 100 percent of aircraft were implemented with strict health protocols. For routine travelers, workers in urban agglomeration areas or those working in the Depok area are required to show a vaccination card and use the PeduliLindung application.

People who travel domestically using private cars, motorbikes and long-distance transportation such as airplanes, buses, ships and trains can follow the provisions regulated by the National COVID-19 Handling Task Force.

Official trips out of town and work visits to Depok are permitted on condition that they show negative antigen swab and PCR results the day before.

The Kepwal regulates that places of worship can hold congregational worship or religious events during the implementation of Level 3 PPKM with a capacity of 50 percent. Of course, by implementing strict health protocols and paying attention to technical provisions from the Ministry of Religion.

Art, cultural, sports and social activities as well as fitness centers or gyms can be opened with a maximum capacity of 50 percent by implementing strict health protocols and using the PeduliLindungi application.

Only visitors with the green category on the PeduliLindung application may enter, unless they cannot be vaccinated for health reasons. Likewise with karaoke, plus the use of tools does not alternate.

In addition, wedding receptions, circumcisions, marriage contracts and blessings can be held with a maximum capacity of 25 percent and do not hold meals on the spot and apply health procedures. The takziah is attended by a maximum of 15 people.
