WRS Application Installed At Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport Anticipates Earthquake And Tsunami

"When we click on the link, we can see data for all earthquakes that occurred in Indonesia. We can see which earthquakes can cause a potential (tsunami). That link application has been prepared by BMKG and we already have the link and we also monitor it every time, " said Taufan.

"When there is an earthquake. When we felt the earthquake at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, of course we also saw whether the earthquake had the potential to cause a tsunami," he continued.

"And indeed according to the statement given by BMKG that this WRS will inform when there is a potential tsunami for the earthquake that occurs. That, we can know for about 5 minutes, when there is (disaster) information, of course, this crisis committee team will act immediately, " he explained.

In addition, for evacuation routes, his party has also mapped according to disaster conditions. If a tsunami does occur, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has a courtyard or tall building to evacuate all service users at I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.

"For example, the potential for a tsunami, of course, we have a higher platform and we can provide guidance or direction to all service users at the airport. Be it officers or passengers or prospective passengers, the general public climbs the assembly point for high areas," he said.
