COVID-19 Update As Of February 4th: Continues To Increase, Today There Are 32,000 New Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 480,920 specimens were examined with the result that there were 32,211 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 4,446,694 people and active cases rose by 24,979 to 140,254 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Friday, February 4.

Today's recovered cases increased by 7,190 cases, bringing the total to 4,161,987 recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 42 people and a total of 144,453 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 13,379 cases and a total of 952,371 cases. Followed by West Java with 7,690 new cases with a total of 749,843 cases. Banten with 4,370 new cases and a total of 159,596 cases. Bali recorded 1,789 new cases and a total of 121,276 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today is DKI Jakarta with an additional 5,439 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an additional 658 recovered cases, Banten with an additional 551 recovered cases, and West Java with an additional 171 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 73,639,619.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 3.12 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 22,008 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 186,019,239 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 130,122,520 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 5,117,197. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
