JAKARTA - The number of people exposed to the COVID-19 virus in the House of Representatives continues to grow. The total number of members of the House of Representatives and employees within the House of Representatives who were exposed to Corona (COVID-19) -- February 4 data -- there were 194 cases.

The Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar, has decided to limit the number of people attending meetings at the Council's Apparatus (AKD). Now only 30 percent are allowed to participate to anticipate the spread of COVID-19 in the Parliament Complex.

"The meeting of the House of Representatives of Deliberative Body (Bamus) on Thursday, February 3 decided that the next meeting in AKD will be attended by a maximum of 30 percent of DPR members and partners", said Indra at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, February 4.

The House of Representatives of Deliberative Body Meeting decided to limit the duration of the meeting to a maximum of 2.5 hours. In addition, working hours are limited on Monday-Thursday, a maximum of 15.00 WIB, and Friday, at 15.30 WIB.

"We are still monitoring the health protocol, but everyone who enters the meeting room must show a negative antigen swab result which is valid on the same day", he said.

Indra said that currently 194 people have been confirmed positive for COVID-19, consisting of members of the House of Representatives, experts, and state civil servants (ASN) in the Parliament Complex.

He explained that four additional House of Representatives members were confirmed positive for COVID-19 as of Friday, February 4. However, according to him, from the latest developments, only eight people are still positive for COVID-19.

"From our search on Friday morning there were 214 people, but this afternoon the data has been updated to 194 people who are positive for COVID-19", he said.

He said as many as 194 people had mild symptoms so they did not require intensive care but his party continued to monitor the condition of the 194 people.
