JAKARTA - Residents of Kumpang Bis Village, Belitang Hilir District, Sekadau Region, West Kalimantan, questioned the existence of telecommunication towers or towers in their area. The problem is that the tower is standing strong but it doesn't even work for the telecommunications network.

"The tower is the Indosat network that was originally established, it used to be used by the public to communicate, but in the last few months there has been no signal," said the resident of SP 10, Kumpang Bis Village, Belitang Hilir District, Sekadau Joni, Thursday, January 3.

Joni said, before the establishment of this telecommunication tower, residents still got a network in their respective homes.

However, after the tower was built, the network actually disappeared. As a result, residents are forced to look for signals in hilly areas.

"The tower stands tall but there is no network, we don't even know who to complain to," he complained.

Meanwhile, the Head of Kumpang Village, Bis Vinsensius, said that his party was preparing steps to write letters to related parties, both the local government and the tower manager.

"This is done because of reports from residents here and us in the village that it is also difficult to communicate with sub-district parties or even the Sekadau local government because the cellular network is hampered," he explained.

He added, it's true that when there wasn't one before, we asked the provider but that's not what was meant.

"The tower stands tall, there is no network here, and this is certainly very disturbing," he said.

In the near future, the village head will write to the relevant parties.

"Hopefully with the letter later, the hope that the residents of Kumpang Bis village enjoy the network from their respective homes can be realized," he asked.
