2 Men Raping Teenage Girls In Banyuwangi Arrested

BANYUWANGI - Two men with the initials MS and HK were arrested by the police. Both are suspected of raping a teenage girl.

Tegaldlimo Police Chief AKP Bambang Suprapto said the case of child sexual intercourse occurred in November 2021.

The incident began when the perpetrator MS, the victim and a female friend with the initials R went to the house of the perpetrator HK, Monday, November 15.

Arriving at HK's house, the perpetrator MS asked her to drink liquor (alcohol). Finally, the four of them went somewhere. They rode together on two motorbikes.

"Arriving in the middle of the trip, the victim's friend (initial R) asked to be brought back to his home in the local area", said Bambang, Wednesday, January 2.

Finally, the three of them decided to go to the Srono Indah Hotel in the local area. Meanwhile, HK perpetrators buy alcohol outside, to drink in hotel rooms.

"In the hotel room, suspect HK seduced and expressed love and promised to marry the victim, while drinking alcohol, suspect HK molested her", he said.

After that, they returned to the MS perpetrator's house in Tegaldimo. There the victim was beaten.

"Armed with that persuasion, the two suspects then took turns having sex with the victim", Bambang explained.

The case of sexual intercourse that happened to the victim was finally revealed after four days the victim had not returned home since November 15, 2021.

The parents of the two young men became aware of the victim's actions after the victim told what had happened.

"Arriving at her house because she had not returned for four days, the victim was asked questions from her parents and the head of the local hamlet. The victim later admitted that she had been drunk and had sexual intercourse with the two suspects", said Bambang.

The victim's family did not accept and reported it to the Tegaldlimo Police on November 19, 2021.

This case of child sexual intercourse was revealed by the police in January 2022. The police arrested the two perpetrators and the evidence.

"One suspect MS had become a DPO (in search). But in the end, after we developed it, we managed to secure MS about three days ago", explained Bambang.

To account for their actions, the two perpetrators were subject to Article 82 Paragraph (1,2) sub-Article 81 Paragraph (1,2) Indonesian Law No. 17 of 2016 concerning Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 1 of 2016 concerning Second Amendment to Indonesian Law No. 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
