DENPASAR - Secretary of the Bali Province COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Made Rentin, explained the procedure for the arrival of foreign tourists (tourists) by opening direct international flights to the Island of the Gods, Bali.

"So, the entry points are in two places, the Riau Islands and Bali, they are for tourist purposes," said Rentin, in Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday, February 2.

Tourists will undergo a 7-day quarantine if they have only had one COVID-19 vaccine.

"When he is fully vaccinated he will only be quarantined for five days. On the fourth day of the exit test, when the results are negative, they can continue their activities," he added.

In addition, the international arrival terminal at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport is ready. Garuda Indonesia's inaugural flight from Narita, Japan to Bali is scheduled for Thursday, February 3. There were 6 passengers from Narita.

"It only contained six passengers, they came from abroad if I'm not mistaken from Japan. The point is there are only six people, and even then we have declared readiness," he said.

At Ngurah Rai Airport, foreign tourists will pass several checkpoints by officers from the Port Health Office (KKP). Foreign tourists will also undergo a PCR test.

"So they just come down to check the temperature. When the temperature is normal, they continue to the PCR examination box. But if the temperature is up to normal above the provisions, they will be taken to a special clinic, the KKP has prepared a special clinic for initial treatment first," he said.

After that, foreign tourists will undergo quarantine with supervision involving the police. They are required to download the Precision Quarantine monitoring application managed by the Bali Police.

"The Bali Police have made technical preparations, what kind of reporting is it. The point is, undergoing quarantine should not allow outside interactions that may cause virus transmission.
