Anies' Reasons For Implementing The Transitional PSBB In Jakarta
JAKARTA - The Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan revealed the reason for his party to implement a transitional Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB). This is of course based on the data and studies obtained.
Based on a study by the DKI Jakarta COVID-19 Task Force and the views of experts, the reproductive rate of COVID-19 transmission in Jakarta is currently at 0.99. That is, from one person who is currently infected with COVID-19, it only spreads to 1 person and a small proportion does not transmit it.
Previously in March, the reproductive rate of COVID-19 in Jakarta was at 4. Then in mid-March, DKI began implementing restrictions such as closing schools, tourist attractions, CFD, offices and public facilities. Then, on April 10, the PSBB officially took effect.
"Alhamdulillah, Jakarta at the end of May at the beginning of June showed a dropping figure. Here we can see the figure. May 18 we are still 1.09. Moving on until around 1.03. Then May 31 our Rt figure is 1.00. Then June 1 0, 9, 2 June 0.9, 3 June 0.9. It is our work to make this figure decrease, "explained Anies.
Then, the graph of the increase in cases per day in Jakarta has started to slope. The peak of cases in Jakarta was mid-April, then started to slope until now.
"This is one factor that makes us all feel it is time for us to look back on how important mutual discipline is. Because this figure does not get 1-2 people, but all work," he said.
Anies understands that efforts to limit activities and implement COVID-19 prevention protocols in DKI have shown positive results. However, if viewed by region, there are still 66 RWs in Jakarta that fall into the red zone.
The proportion, 66 RWs are only 2.4 percent of the total RW in Jakarta with a total of 2,741. Anies said these areas still need special attention from the government.
The details, from 66 RWs with red zones, 15 are in West Jakarta, 15 in Central Jakarta, 3 in South Jakarta, 15 in North Jakarta, 15 in East Jakarta, and 3 in the Thousand Islands.
"So, these 66 RWs, later we will carry out testing monitoring activities, then also include special social assistance for areas that are under strict surveillance status," said Anies.
"Let us help our brothers who are in 66 RWs to change immediately. Because they are currently still in red, there are still cases. Hopefully it will gradually change," he said.
For information, Anies extended the PSBB period in Jakarta starting tomorrow, the 5th until an undetermined time. However, this phase four PSBB is a transitional phase.
During June, Jakarta still implemented restrictions by implementing the COVID-19 prevention protocol, but with easing. The goal is that people can do activities to fulfill their daily needs.
All activities will gradually reopen, with a note of limiting capacity by 50 percent reduction, and implementing COVID-19 prevention protocols.
