Tulungagung LP Officers Thwart Methamphetamine Smuggling Hidden In Hijab
TULUNGAGUNG - Tulungagung Class IIB Penitentiary Officer, East Java succeeded in thwarting an attempt to smuggle methamphetamine into prisons.
The head of the prison, R. Budiman Priyatna Kusumah, said that the incident began when a visitor with the initials MM, a resident of Dawung, Ngantru District, Tulungagung, arrived at the prison at around 10.20 WIB with a child.
According to the procedure, MM's luggage was checked at the One Stop Integrated Service (LTSP), but nothing suspicious was found.
Suspicion arose when MM entered the visiting room. The officers observed the movements of these visitors, Novis Setiawan, who then carried out a more in-depth examination.
As a result, three packages of methamphetamine were found hidden in the MM headscarf.
The evidence was immediately handed over to the Tulungagung Police together with MM for legal proceedings.
Selain itu, Lapas Tulungagung juga memeriksa Warga Binaan Pemasyarakatan (WBP) bernama Muhyanto, yang menjadi tujuan kunjungan MM, guna memastikan keterlibatan pihak internal dalam jaringan narkoba.
