Supporting Nataru's Smoothness, The Ministry Of Public Works And BUJT Implements 10 Percent Toll Rates Discount

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) together with Toll Road Business Entities (BUJT) has imposed toll tariff discounts on several sections that travelers go to their hometowns to support the smooth flow of homecoming and return during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays.

The implementation of the toll tariff discount which applies to all groups of vehicles by 10 percent is to maximize traffic distribution and avoid the accumulation of vehicles on a certain date which is predicted to be the peak flow of going home or back.

PU Minister Dody Hanggodo said that his party is committed to improving toll road operational services through the preparation of infrastructure, supporting facilities and infrastructure, including providing toll tariff discounts to improve services to toll road users.

"Essentially, always prioritize the people and maintain the quality of toll road services," said Dody in a written statement, quoted on Friday, December 20.

The provision of toll rates for the Trans Java Toll Road cluster applies to the integration of the Jakarta Toll Road (Japek), Cikampek 'Palimanan, Palimanan' Kanci, Kanci'Pejagan, Pejagan' Pemalang, Pemalang'Batang, Batang' Semarang and Semarang Toll Road Section ABC.

The toll tariff discount for the 2024/2025 Nataru homecoming flow is valid on Thursday 19 December 2024 starting at 05.00 WIB (for 24 hours).

The reverse flow itself applies to the opposite section, namely the Semarang ABC toll road to the Japek or Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) to the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate. The application of the return flow toll rate is valid on December 28, 2024 and January 3, 2025 starting at 05.00 WIB (for 24 hours).

As for the Trans Sumatra corridor, the provision of 10 percent toll rates for all groups of vehicles when the homecoming flow applies to the Great Flyover (Pematang Panggang) Kayu Agung (GT Bakauheni Selatan GT Kayu Agung Utama), Kayu Agung (Palembang) section (Kyu Agung Utama) and the Pekanbaru 'Dumai toll road.

The toll tariff discount for the homecoming flow of the Trans Sumatra toll road corridor is valid on December 23, 2024 starting at 05.00 WIB for 24 hours.

Meanwhile, for backflow, the application of the equal tariff discount of 10 percent on several Trans Sumatra toll roads applies to the opposite toll road on 28 December 2024 and 3 January 2025 starting at 05.00 WIB for 24 hours.

The Ministry of Public Works also appealed to motorists who travel back and forth to their hometowns to prepare sufficient electronic money balance (e-Toll) according to their travel destinations to avoid queues at toll gates due to lack of balance and balance filling.
