Father In Central Lombok Arrested On Alleged Child Sex
CENTRAL LOMBOK - The Central Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), arrested a man with the initials FRM (46) on suspicion of sexual violence against his biological child who is still a junior high school (SMP) student.
"The perpetrator of FRM was arrested for allegedly having intercourse with his biological child who was still in junior high school," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Central Lombok Police, Iptu Luk Il Maqnum, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 20.
Iptu Luk Luk explained that the incident occurred on Saturday (7/12) at around 03.00 WITA. At that time, the victim was sleeping in his room when the perpetrator entered, lying beside the victim, and committing the act of sexual violence.
"When the perpetrator took the action, the victim did not dare to fight or refuse because he was afraid. The perpetrator often hit and threatened the victim's mother," he said.
The victim then told the incident to his mother, who is currently working as an Indonesian migrant worker abroad, by telephone.
"Hearing the story, his mother immediately contacted the victim's aunt and asked for help so that the alleged perpetrator's actions should be immediately reported to the police," he explained.

Currently, the perpetrator is being detained at the Central Lombok Police Headquarters for further investigation and for further legal proceedings.
"As a result of his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 76D in conjunction with Article 81 paragraphs (1), (2) and (3) of Law no. 17 of 2016 concerning the second amendment to Law no. 23 of 2002 concerning child protection," he said.
