Rawon To Rendang Is On The List Of 100 World's Freshest Foods By Taste Atlas
JAKARTA - Indonesian food is quite famous in the world for its deliciousness and rich in taste. Most recently, some Indonesian food is included in the top 100 delicious foods in the world or 100 Best Dishes in the World.
The list was released by the 2024-2025 Taste Atlas Awards, which is a culinary ranking site, reported on Thursday, December 12, 2024. The first Indonesian food to enter the list was Rawon, which managed to occupy the 8th position.
The site writes rawon as a typical Indonesian food originating from East Java. This black souped food is made with beef combined with various spices.
Keluak is the main spice in making rawons. Keluak is also an ingredient that gives black colors to the rawon sauce.
Then in the top 30 of the list, the pempek occupies the 23rd position. Pempek is a typical food of Palembang, South Sumatra, which is made from ground fish and then mixed with tapoka flour, then fried, and served with cucumber slices, noodles, and vinegar sauce.
The fried rice is ranked 33rd on the list. Fried rice is rated as a unifying culinary, which is easy and simple recitation, but is able to make many people addicted to eating it.

Finally, there is rendang which is ranked 67th. Rendang is a typical food of West Sumatra, which has a spicy taste, is rich in spices, and has been making for quite a long time.
