DPR IAN Remembers Trainee Periods, Admits That He Gets Non-Human Treatment
JAKARTA - The cruelty of the trainee times that K-Pop idols go through has become a common secret. Especially those who felt the competition of the K-Pop industry in the early 2000s like the DPR IAN, the challenges faced were very real.
Not long ago the owner of the Christian Yu name revealed the difficult times he experienced as a trainee. As is known, before being known as DPR IAN, he was a member of the group C-Clown which debuted in 2012.
While visiting Australia on a world tour of The Dream Reborn, IAN tells the story of the beginning of plunge into the world of idols. He recalls when he had to wake up early and do busy activities throughout the day.
"In the past? It was really tight," said DPR IAN quoting NME, December 12. "If you're late a minute, you have to get down on the floor and sit in the corner, like you're on a timeout," he added.
The 34-year-old musician admitted that in his time there were many inhumane things he experienced. At a young age he had to go through a lot of demands and pressure from the company.

"I think it's inhumane, but that's how the life of the training participants goes. You don't know what the terrible and tiring side of life looks like, because no one really tells you," he explained again.
IAN said that currently the treatment of trainee has started to improve. He heard the story that the treatment of the agency is now more humane.
DPR IAN is currently on a world tour with DPR Artic and DPR Cream who have stopped in several countries. On December 14, they will stop to Indonesia to hold a show at the Beach City International Stadium Ancol, Jakarta.
