3 Securitys Become Suspects After Securing Lawyers Suspected Of Infiltrating Office Buildings In South Jakarta
JAKARTA Three security officers with the initials WW, D, and P were named suspects by the Setiabudi Police after securing a lawyer with the initials DJS who allegedly infiltrated an office building in Setiabudi, South Jakarta.
The building management representative, Seto Nugroho, explained that this incident began in October 2024, when DJS came to one of the tenants to provide subpoenas regarding his client's car which was hit by a driver who worked at the tenant.
The tenant, according to Seto, has expressed his willingness to compensate with the condition that DJS clients first repair their cars and provide proof of receipt. However, DJS is said to have acted uncooperatively and caused a commotion.
On October 21, 2024, DJS returned to the building to collect payments in cash, but tenants refused and stated that payments would only be made through bank transfers after evidence of repair of the car.
The next day, DJS allegedly infiltrated the building using a freight elevator without following the applicable registration procedure. Seto explained that the tenants visited were surprised and uncomfortable with DJS' presence so they contacted the building management to ask for help.
"Because the lobby was blocked, he went through the freight elevator without permission. When he arrived at the tenant, he was surprised he could still enter. Finally, we sent security to ask him to come down," said Seto, Thursday, December 12.
According to Seto, when he was arrested, DJS resisted so that the three security officers were forced to act to control the situation. However, DJS then reported the three security guards to the Setiabudi Police on charges of beating and assault.
As a result of the report, the three security guards were named as suspects. In response, the building management reported back DJS to the South Jakarta Metro Police for alleged violations of Article 167 of the Criminal Code regarding entering someone else's yard without permission.

Building management hopes that the legal process against the three security guards will run fairly and provide clarity regarding the incident.
"We fully leave this process to the authorities. We hope that justice can be upheld," concluded Seto.
