Airlangga Immediately Talks To Khofifah Regarding The East Java Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto said his party immediately spoke with Khofifah Indar Parawansa regarding support in the East Java (East Java) gubernatorial election.

"Friday (17 May 2024) there is Mrs. Khofifah, we will talk," said Airlangga, who is also the Coordinating Minister for the Economy, was found at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, 16 Me.

Previously, Khofifah expressed her desire to return to partner with Democratic Party cadre Emil Elistianto Dardak in the 2024 East Java Pilkada.

Airlangga asked reporters to wait for the results of his party meeting with Khofifah on Friday (17/5) tomorrow.

Airlangga himself said that Golkar had given an assignment letter to Khofifah. When asked about Khofifah's desire to pair up with Emil Dardak, Airlangga joked that he would issue a letter of assignment on behalf of Emil.

"Yes, just add one, (on behalf) Emil," he said.

Golkar also has cadres who were previously predicted to run in the East Java Pilkada, one of which is the Chairman of the East Java Golkar DPD M. Sarmuji.

Airlangga said Sarmuji would get another assignment.
