Fakfak Papua's Visit, Jokowi Inaugurates Pancasila Monument
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) started his third day of working in Papua by visiting the Pancasila Tugu, Tamana Village, Fakfak Regency, West Papua Province, on Friday, November 24.
Arriving at around 06.50 WIT, the President was then greeted by the Regent of Fakfak Untung Tamsil, Deputy Regent of Fakfak Yohana Dina Hindom, and Head of Tanama Sukur Village Weripih.
"President Jokowi signed the Pancasila Monument inscription of Tanama Village which is a form of remembering the struggle of the heroes who came from Tamalah Village," said a written statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat.
"The Pancasila monument is very important because it remembers the fighters who were in Tamalam Village," said Head of Tanama Village Sukur Weripih in his statement after the activity.
Sukur hopes that in the future, the community can continue to remember the struggle of the heroes to achieve independence and continue to work together to build the country.
"I invite the public, let's avoid problems to build the country," he said.
After visiting the Pancasila Monument, President Jokowi continued his activities towards the Teluk Bintuni LNG Area, Teluk Bintuni Regency to inaugurate the Tangguh Train 3 National Strategic Project (PSN).
In the afternoon, the Head of State will head to Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua Province to lay the first stone at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital, Unimuda Sorong.

After Papua, President Jokowi will fly to Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan Province to inaugurate the opening of the XXXII Islamic Student Association (HMI) Congress and the XXV Kohati National Conference in 2023.
Also accompanying the President in a series of working visits on the third day, including Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia, and Presidential Special Staff Billy Mambrasar.
