Kunker To Greece, Slovakia To Malaysia, Vice President Ma'ruf Bangun Jejaring Produk Halal Dunia

JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Ma'ruf Amin paid a working visit to Greece, Slovakia, and Malaysia today, November 21-29.

The Vice President's visit included attracting investment in Indonesia, exchanging experiences in managing diversity, and building world halal product networks.

"There are several important agendas in the three countries. First, the Vice President will meet with the Prime Minister of Greece and the leadership of the Greek parliament, there will be bilateral talks on investment interests for the two countries," said Spokesperson for the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Masduki Baidlowi in a video statement, Tuesday, November 21, which was confiscated by Antara.

He explained that the Vice President's working visit to Greece was to strengthen business relations and investment between Indonesia and Greece.

According to him, Indonesia's interest in attracting investment from Greece is also aimed at building the capital city of the archipelago (IKN).

The vice president will invite the Greek side to look at the potential for cooperation and investment that can be made in Indonesia.

In addition, Indonesia is also targeting tourism cooperation with Greece because the country with the capital city of Athens is known for its tourism sector.

"Because Greece we also know as a tourist visit area and tourism management there is well managed by the Greek government," he said.

While in Greece, the Vice President is also scheduled to fulfill a special invitation from the Archbishop of the Greek Orthodok Church.

"Uskup Agung di Yunani ini pengaruhnya sangat kuat sebagai church orthodok," ujarnya.

The vice president was invited by the Archbishop in Greece to have a dialogue on the experiences of each country in building and maintaining diversity.

"In Greece, what kind of diversity? In Indonesia, what kind of diversity? I think this will be interesting," he said.

After returning from Greece, the Vice President continued his working visit to Slovakia and will meet with Slovak President.

According to Masduki, from the meeting of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia and the leadership of the country of Slovakia, it is hoped that there will be an exchange of experiences in building diversity.

Indonesia, said Masduki, always gives full rights to religious people to worship according to their beliefs.

"In Slovakia with Indonesia's experience like that, we hope to exchange experiences with the leadership of the country. So far, it is said that in Slovakia as a small country there is no mosque, so there may be an exchange-exchange experience in that dialogue and later it can produce shared benefits between the two countries," he said.

In Slovakia, the Vice President is also scheduled to visit the Islamic Museum and then meet entrepreneurs who are oriented towards the halal product industry.

This is in accordance with the focus of the work of Vice President Ma'ruf to build Indonesia as the center of world halal products.

"How to expand the halal network, where Indonesia is the center of world halal, is expected in Europe, the network can grow there," he said.

The vice president is also scheduled to attend a national dialogue with a number of students and entrepreneurs in Slovakia.

In the country with the thousands of Bratislava cities, Vice President Ma'ruf has several focuses, namely strengthening bilateral relations, especially in fostering religious diversity, meeting with the Islamic Foundation, and also improving the network of halal businessmen.

In a third country, the Vice President will go to Malaysia to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. In the neighboring country, the Vice President will attend the Global Muslim Business Forum.

"I think this meeting (with Malaysian PM) is very important, it is still related to how to build the halal industry in several countries," he said.

Indonesia and Malaysia, said Masduki, are two important countries in building halal hub products. In Malaysia, the Vice President will also attend the national dialogue.
