Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, Defense Minister Ensures Indonesian Peace Forces Remain In Lebanon
Jakarta - Defense Minister (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto stated that there are no plans to withdraw the TNI troops on the UN peace mission in Lebanon which has continued to last until now as long as Israel's attack on Gaza is still ongoing.
This was conveyed by Prabowo at the 17th ASEAN Defense Minister's Meeting (ADMM) and The 10th ASEAN Defense Minister's Meeting Plus 2023 at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, November 16.
"Until now there has been no plan to withdraw our peacekeepers in Lebanon," said Prabowo
In addition, Prabowo also continues to communicate and coordinate with related parties such as the UN Security Council and related countries to monitor developments in the situation in Gaza.
"We continue to coordinate with the UN, the Security Council, and the relevant countries there," he continued.
On the same occasion, Prabowo, as the chairman or host of ADMM representing RI, also expressed his concern over the situation that has occurred in Gaza until now.

He also emphasized that ASEAN countries also urged that the violence that occurred in Gaza could be stopped immediately.
"I think that, also my meeting as chairman as well as representatives of Indonesia as well as several countries, including Malaysia also expressed our concern over the incident in Gaza. We encourage all efforts to immediately stop the violence there," said Prabowo.
