Central Java Police Investigate Alleged Corruption In Porprov 2023 In Kudus
The Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Regional Police is investigating a case of alleged corruption in the implementation of the Provincial Sports Week or 2023 Porprov in Kudus Regency.
Director of the Special Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police, Kombes Dwi Subagio, said that allegations of corruption occurred in the procurement of consumption and uniforms for athletes and coaches of the 2023 Porprov.
"(There are) 44 witnesses who have been questioned," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 15.
The witnesses who were questioned were the management of KONI Kudus Regency.
According to Dwi, allegations of corruption occurred in the budget for food and uniform procurement for athletes, coaches, and the official team.
The budget allocation for consumption expenditure is IDR 899 million, while for procurement is around IDR 917 million.

Dwi said investigators were still investigating the case, including summoning the former Chairman of KONI Kudus Regency, who has yet to fulfill the investigator's summons.
According to Dwi, the former chairman of the Kudus Regency KONI with the initials IT was known to have resigned from his position before the 2023 Porprov was held.
