BMW Astra Responds To Wireless Charger Inequality With IPhone 15
JAKARTA - The case of a wireless charger mismatch for the iPhone 15 on a BMW car has become a hot topic of conversation, especially after Mac Rumours users reported NFC damage to the iPhone 15 and other variants, resulting in some features unable to work, including Apple Pay and digital car keys.
"The impact of NFC damage to the iPhone 15 and other variants will make features like Apple Pay and digital car keys not working at all," Macrumors said as quoted from the Carscoops page, Wednesday, November 15.
Responding to this, BMW Astra through Teguh Widodo, Operation Manager of BMW Astra, responded. Teguh stated that until now, the principal in Germany has not issued an official statement regarding the iPhone 15 issue.
"Until now, there has been no official statement from our principal in Germany regarding what kind of iPhone 15 issue," explained Teguh Widodo when contacted.

It remains unclear whether the problem stems from the iPhone 15 or the inductive charger used by BMW. Some consumers suspect that this problem may be caused by excess heat. A user in a Reddit thread says that BMW 3-Series is barely charging, even just making the phone hot.
Not only on iPhones, similar problems are also reported by BMW X5 users, where battery charging causes their Samsung S22 Ultra to experience a significant increase in temperature.
