Partnering With StoreDot, Polestar Wants To Have EV Battery With Fastest Charging
JAKARTA - An electric car manufacturer from Sweden, Polestar, partnered with the StoreDot to demonstrate a prototype electric vehicle battery with the fastest charging, which the battery company has been working on for several years.
Quoted from the Teslarati page, Tuesday, November 14, the prototype "100in5" StoreDot battery will be demonstrated on the Polestar 5 prototype vehicle around next year.
Interestingly, the battery disbursement is only five minutes capable of breaking a range of up to 160 kilometers, due to an extreme cell called XFC.
The main idea behind this demonstration is to explore technically, and show how the XFC technology battery cells behind its development can be applied to existing platforms.
"We can't wait to see this technology in the hands of customers who take advantage of charging speed," said Storedot CEO Dr. Doron Myersdorf.
He further said this collaboration was also a big step for the StoreDot, and showed that the battery was ready for mass production.
"We are very happy and proud that Polestar wants to be the first automotive company to feature very fast charging battery cells in a fully-scale prototype that can be driven," he added.
