The Mount Ile Lewotolok Monitoring Post in Lembata Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province reported that the volcano erupted again or erupted with a column of ash observed at approximately 400 meters at the top of the mountain.
"At 05.27 WITA, Mount Ile Lewotolok erupted again with an altitude of approximately 400 meters of ash column at the peak or approximately 1,823 meters above sea level," said Ile Lewotolok Volcano Monitoring Post Officer Stanis Ara Kian in his report received by ANTARA in Kupang, Tuesday, November 14 morning.
He said that based on observations, the ash column was observed to be gray to black with thick intensity leaning towards the northwest.
Furthermore, in his report, he added that the eruption was recorded on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 24.5 milli meters with a duration of approximately one minute 35 seconds.

According to him, on Monday at 16.33 WITA there was also an eruption and the height of the ash column was about 500 meters at the top.
He added that currently the volcano, which once erupted again at the end of November 2021, is at Level II Status or alert.
Therefore, his party issued recommendations so that the people around Mount Lewotolok and visitors, climbers, and tourists do not enter and do not carry out activities within a radius of two kilometers from the activity center of Mount Ile Lewotolok.
