Danpuspom TNI: Ex-Kabasarnas Bribery Case Delegated In 2 Weeks

JAKARTA - The Commander of the TNI Military Police Center, Marshal Muda TNI Agung Handoko, said that the bribery case that ensnared the former head of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Kabasarnas), Vice Marshal Henri Alfiandia, was transferred to the Military Oditurat in 2 weeks.

"Two more weeks (the case) has been transferred," said the TNI Military Police Center Commander (Danpuspom) as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 13.

However, he did not explain further the reasons for the case that ensnared Marsdya TNI Henri Alfiandi it took longer to be transferred to the Military Oditurat, although the same case, Lt. Col. Admi Afri Budi Cahyanto (ex Koorsmin Kabasarnas during Henri's leadership) has been transferred to the High Military Authority (Otmilti) II, Jakarta, on October 11, 2023.

The TNI Military Police Center (Puspom) on July 31, 2023 named Henri Alfiandi and Afri Budi Cahyanto as suspects in the bribery case for the procurement of equipment at Basarnas. Both of them, on the day they were named as suspects, were immediately detained at the Military Detention Installation belonging to the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Puspom, Jakarta.

Several days later, the TNI Puspom and KPK investigators on August 4, 2023 searched the Indonesian Basarnas Office in Jakarta and confiscated evidence stored in two boxes and a suitcase.

The confiscated evidence includes evidence of check disbursement transactions, administrative documents for the work of procuring the detection of victims of the ruins, documents and other important documents regarding the procurement of goods/services for the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) in 2023.

In addition, investigators also confiscated CCTV footage at Basarnas related to the handling of a bribery case involving Henri Alfiandi.

In the case file for the suspect Lt. Col. Afri, investigators at the TNI Puspom said he received a bribe called the Command Fund amounting to Rp8.327 billion.

The funds, according to the investigator's examination, were received by Afri to be handed over to Henri Alfiandi.

For the suspect, Lt. Col. Afri, the TNI Puspom charged him with Article 12 letter a or letter b or Article 11 of Law Number 20 of 2021 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
