Mahfud MD Was Embarrassed To Be A Constitutional Court Judge, But Kni Proud After MKMK Removed Anwar Usman From The Chief Justice Of The Constitutional Court
Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD appreciated the decision of the Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK) which decided that Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman violated serious ethics related to conflicts of interest in the decision of the Election Law regarding the minimum age requirements for vice presidential candidates.
The Constitutional Court also decided that 6 Constitutional Court judges violated ethics and were sanctioned with verbal warnings.
Mahfud, who is also the former chairman of the Constitutional Court, admitted that he was ashamed of the Constitutional Court's decision to pass the lawsuit for the age limit for vice presidential candidates of at least 40 years unless he served as regional head.
"In the last few years, I have been sad and ashamed to have been a judge and chairman of the Constitutional Court," Mahfud said in a tweet on his X account, Tuesday, November 7.
