Foreign Minister Says 51.5 Tons Of Aid For Palestine Also Comes From The Community
JAKARTA - Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Retno Marsudi said Indonesia had sent humanitarian aid to Palestine. The assistance was in the form of 51.5 tons of food, medical equipment, and logistics.
The release of aid deliveries to Palestine was led directly by President Joko Widodo on Saturday, November 4.
"Yesterday the first aid was dispatched directly by President Jokowi and this is not only government assistance but all Indonesian people who are channeled through humanitarian institutions," said Retno on the Palestinian defense action stage in the National Monument (Monas) area, Sunday, November 5.
On that occasion, Retno also read poetry during the speech. Retno admitted that she only wrote her poem last night.
"Last night I wrote a poem, the title was 'Palestinian brother'," said Retno.

On that occasion, Retno emphasized that the Indonesian government supports the Palestinian people's struggle for independence. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here to unite from the bhitneka to show our solidarity with humanity," said Retno.

This Palestinian defense action was initiated by the Indonesian Ulema Council, which has been held at Monas since Sunday, November 5 morning.
