New Album SUM 41 Heaven:x: Hell Arrives Spring 2024
JAKARTA - Last month, the band nominated Grammy SUM 41 released a new single, Landmines, via Rise Records with its music video.
The song is expected to appear on the upcoming album SUM 41, Heaven:x: Hell, which will be released in early 2024.
The first part of the two-part album, known as "Heaven", shows the band returning to their punk pop roots, while the second, heavier album side ("Hell") features metal tracks similar to the latest sound of SUM 41.
Speaking to TheresaRockFace from Houston radio station, Texas 94.5 The Buzz is about the upcoming album, said 41st SUM vocalist Deryck Whibyley.
"These are two very different albums. Each contains 10 songs. I'll call them like the initial pop punk SUM 41, and the newer and heavier side of 'Neraka' 41 that we've made in the last few recordings, that kind of style," explained Deryck.

"I don't want to call it metal, but this is our version of what we're doing it's influenced by heavy and metal music. Over the years, we've done both types of styles. We've had more heavy music than pop-punk music, but since we started in the first two recordings, it looks like you've been labeled for the rest of your life."
"But, there are our fans who don't really care about pop-punk music and only like tougher music, and vice versa."
Asked if the official release date for Heaven:x: Hell has been determined, Whibyley said: "There is no release date yet for that. Not yet. I think it might happen early next year, like spring. That's what I thought. All that's being done right now."
