The Rolling Stones First Artist With 10 Top Albums In Each Decade Since The 60s
JAKARTA - The Rolling Stones became the first artist to have had the top 10 albums in the United States every decade since the 1960s.
Their new album Hackney Diamonds entered the Billboard 200 chart on Number Three this week (October 31), extending the band's record as the artist with the top 10 albums of all time, with a total of 38 albums.
In its home country, The Rolling Stones already holds the record for artists with the most number one albums in decades. In 2020, their album Goats Head Soup's (1973) hit the top spot, marking number one in six separate decades, although they did not top the charts in the 2000s in the UK.
Hackney Diamonds, released October 20, also recently reached the peak of UK Albums Chart, their 14th overall ranking. The band also received a BRIT Billion Award from the British Phonographic Industry this week for reaching a milestone of one billion career streams in the UK.
The album features contributions from Paul McCartney, moto Wonder, Elton John and others.

The Billboard 200 is the official US album charts, and in addition to the top 38 positions in the top 10, The Rolling Stones also scored a total of nine number one albums, including Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main St., and Tattoo You.
No other artist has made the top 10 for each decade since the 60s, although Barbra Streisand has a chance to match those achievements if he is able to enter his album into the top 10 before the end of the 2020s.
Streisand also has the top 10 of the second most albums with a total of 34, with The Beatles and Frank totaling third with 32 albums.
