Health Test Results For Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates Announced Friday 27 October

Chairman of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari said the results of the health tests of the prospective presidential and vice presidential candidates will be announced on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Hasyim said that the medical test results from the team of doctors at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital would be submitted collectively after the entire presidential and vice presidential candidate pair had finished undergoing the examination.

"The results of the 3 prospective pairs of candidates, by the RSPAD Gatsu inspection team, will be officially submitted to the KPU on Friday, October 27, 2023, at around 14.00 WIB at noon or BA'da Friday," said Hasyim at the KPU office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 25.

The couple Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) previously underwent a medical test on Saturday, October 21 after registering with the KPU on Thursday, October 19.

Then, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD conducted a medical test on Sunday, October 22 after previously registering on Thursday, October 19.

Furthermore, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will undergo a medical test on Thursday, October 26 after registering on Wednesday, October 25.

The final result of a series of verification or administrative research of the requirements for a candidate pair will be determined by the KPU on Monday, November 13.

"It will be continued with the draw of the candidate pair serial number the following day on November 14, 2023," he said.

The registration period for presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election will end at midnight. This election stage is open from 19 October 2023.

Hasyim said that it is likely that there will be no more presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the coalition of parties who will register after Prabowo and Gibran this afternoon.

"On the last day, today, October 25, 2023, registration is open until 23.59 WIB. It seems that this is over, no more coalition of political parties will come," explained Hasyim.

Hasyim said that the presidential and vice presidential candidate pairs who will participate in the presidential election must be promoted by parties or coalitions of political parties that have seats in parliament at least 20 percent or votes in the 2019 Election at least 25 percent.

Meanwhile, currently all parties that passed the DPR RI parliament in the 2019 Election have joined the coalition of the third supporting party for the presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"There are already 14 political parties participating in the 2019 Election who have also qualified as participants in the 2024 General Election, have used their opportunities to register prospective pairs of candidates," explained Hasyim.

"Thus, there are no more political parties participating in the 2019 Election who are also the remaining participants in the 2024 General Election, who have not registered a candidate pair for president-vice president," he added.
