Luhut Reportedly Resigned From The Position Of Coordinating Minister For Maritime Affairs And Fisheries, Spokesperson: Not True
JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenko Marves) Jodi Mahardi denied the news that Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan had resigned from his position as Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries.
"It's not true (the news)," said Jodi to VOI, in Jakarta, Tuesday, October 24.
For your information, the news of Luhut's resignation circulated in the midst of his recovery period. Luhut himself is currently undergoing treatment in Singapore. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has also appointed Erick Thohir to replace Luhut temporarily.
Jodi also revealed Luhut's current health condition. He said, his condition was getting better than before.
"Pak Luhut is still being treated by a doctor in a very good condition compared to before. The current treatment is focused on physiquerapy," he said.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) revealed that his health condition was progressing. He admitted that he had been undergoing the recovery process in Singapore for seven days.
Luhut said that he had carried out several stages of medical treatment as well as possible. He also said this experience was really unpleasant. However, he remains committed to continuing to be enthusiastic even though the recovery process still takes time.

According to Luhut, he has obtained permission from a team of doctors in Singapore to carry out activities even though it is only limited to seeing and hearing reports from several jobs that he has left over the past few weeks.
"It may be that the progress that I have experienced in the recovery process is also caused by an impatient feeling to return to work again. However, I may also get this progress because I see how the entire team works in an integrated manner to handle all the responsibilities that I leave for a moment," said Luhut, quoted from his official Instagram @luhut.pandjaitan, Tuesday, October 17.
Luhut also admitted that he was very confident that his recovery process could not be separated from the prayers of his family, friends, and the people of Indonesia.
"I am very sure that the good prayers from the whole family, friends, even the Indonesian people have helped me in better conditions than before," he said.
