Ganjar Yakin Central Java Tetap Jadi Kandang Banteng Meski Gibran Jadi Cawapres Prabowo

JAKARTA - Candidate for president (candidate) Ganjar Pranowo believes that Central Java will remain the primary of the PDI-P (PDIP) and contribute victory to him and Mahfud MD as his vice presidential candidate.

It is believed that the people in the area will not be affected even though Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka runs with Prabowo Subianto as a vice presidential candidate (cawapres). The son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is paired with a presidential candidate from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM), Prabowo Subianto.

"God willing, I am very sure that it (Central Java remains a bull cage, ed). Very sure," said Ganjar to reporters in the Blok M area, Jakarta, Monday, October 23.

It is known that the party bearing the bull symbol received support as much as 27,053,961 in the 2019 election. Of this number, 5.76 million or 29.71 percent came from Central Java.

Back to Ganjar. He stated that his belief was reasonable and did not just appear. This is because PDIP has moved with other supporting parties such as the United Development Party (PPP), the Hanura Party, and the Perindo Party.

According to him, although the supporting party he called was not as strong as the PDIP in Central Java, the party engine had moved with the help of volunteers. They are now moving fast, said the former Governor of Central Java.

Previously reported, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD has officially registered as a candidate pair for president and vice president in the 2024 presidential election. They submitted the registration file and completeness to the General Election Commission (KPU) last week.

Meanwhile, Gibran was just announced as a vice presidential candidate for Prabowo Subianto last night, Sunday, October 22. Prabowo's announcement was delivered directly by Prabowo accompanied by the general chairman of the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

The couple will only register on Wednesday, October 25. Gibran did not participate at the announcement but he will attend the moment of registration.
