Aceh Prosecutor's Office Detains 3 Corruption Suspects In Cattle Procurement Of IDR 2.37 Billion
Aceh High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) investigators have detained three suspects in the alleged corruption in the procurement of cattle with a budget of Rp. 2.37 billion in Southeast Aceh Regency.Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the Aceh Attorney General's Office, Ali Rasab Lubis, said the three suspects were detained to facilitate investigations."The three suspects were detained at the Class IIB Banda Aceh detention center for 20 days. In addition to facilitating investigations, detention to prevent suspects from escaping and destroying evidence," he said in Banda Aceh, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 17.The three suspects detained are M as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) for cattle procurement at the Southeast Aceh Regency Agriculture Service.Next, suspect A as Director of CV MRM who is the winner of the auction and the implementing company for cattle procurement. As well as the suspect MR, as the controller and supplier of livestock with the UD SK company against CV MRMBefore being detained, investigators summoned the three suspects to undergo an examination at the Aceh Prosecutor's Office in Banda Aceh. Examination to complete the investigation case file."After undergoing examination, the three suspects underwent a medical examination by the Aceh Attorney General's Office clinic doctor. After being declared healthy, the three were placed in the Class IIB Banda Aceh Detention Center," said Ali Rasab Lubis.The alleged corruption case originated from the procurement of 200 cows by the Southeast Aceh Regency Agriculture Office in the 2019 fiscal year. The procurement budget comes from Aceh's special autonomy funds allocated to city districts.Furthermore, the Southeast Aceh Regency Agriculture Service conducted an auction and won by CV MRM with a contract value of more than Rp. 2.37 billion.However, A as Director of CV MRM did not carry out cattle procurement work. Suspect A admitted that his company was borrowed by the suspect MR. MR is also a civil servant at the Southeast Aceh Regency Agriculture Service."From the results of the examination, the company loaned without a power of attorney, both under the hands and the notary certificate of Suspect A admitted that he only received a fee from the contract value," said Ali Rasab Lubis.Furthermore, MR as the company borrower and also the controller of the supplier using the UD SK company bought cattle in Simalungun, North Sumatra Province."The cow was bought by MR workers or his messenger. The MR worker did not know the technical specifications of the cattle he bought. He was only ordered to buy a female cow with a height ranging from 102 to 104 centimeters as many as 200. Cows were purchased in retail at agents and cattle traders," he said.At the time of handing over the work and health checks for the cows, it did not match the contract documents. The condition of the cows is weak, thin, and sick. The cows are placed in the UPTD of the Southeast Aceh Regency Agriculture Service and entrusted to farmers.Ali Rasab Lubis said of the 200 cows, 81 of them died as evidenced by death certificates. While 119 other people are not clear about their whereabouts.
"Based on the results of the Aceh Inspectorate audit, the state losses incurred reached more than Rp. 1 billion. Investigators are still investigating the case and it is possible that other parties were involved," said Ali Rasab Lubis.
