Police Arrest 6 Suspects Of Drug Abuse In Kuningan

KUNINGAN - Polres Kuningan, West Java, arrested six suspects in a criminal case of drug abuse during the implementation of Operation Pekat in October 2023.

Kapolres Kuningan AKBP Willy Andrian menyebutkan para tersangka terdiri atas R (19), A (33), AS (24), R (25), G (21), dan AJ (38). Mereka merupakan pelaku untuk enam kasus yang berbeda.

"The majority of the modus operandi is by meeting face-to-face or face," Willy said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, October 16.

From the hands of the suspects, said Willy, the Kuningan Police confiscated 1,143 hard drugs of various types, with details of 745 tarmadol pills, 189 trihexyphenidyl pills, and 200 dextromethorphan pills. The drugs were secured to be used as evidence.

Suspect R was arrested in the Kuningan area and was found carrying 198 items of tramadol obtained from transactions on social media.

Then, suspect A was arrested by the Narcotics Unit of the Kuningan Police when the man was about to distribute 35 tramadol pills and 29 trihexyphenidyl in Cilimus District.

"For the suspect AS, he was secured in Cigugur District with evidence of 55 tramadol items. Perpetrator R was secured in the same sub-district and was found carrying 366 tramadol pills," said Willy.

Willy said another suspect with the initials G was arrested in Cigugur District. Where the perpetrator carried 61 items of trihexyphenidyl.

The police are committed to investigating three cases in Cigugur District because the perpetrators received hard drugs from someone with the initials D.

"We are still investigating," he said.

Meanwhile, the last perpetrator, said Willy, was arrested in Luragung District and the police confiscated 100 tramadol pills, 102 trihexyphenidyl pills, and a dextromerthop.

Willy emphasized that the six suspects were charged with Article 435 and/or 436 Paragraph (1) and (2) of Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health.
