Wales Beat Croatia 2-1 And Optimistic To Qualify For Euro 2024
JAKARTA - Sunday night 5 October or Monday morning WIB, Wales gave great hope to qualify for Euro 2024 after beating Croatia 2-1 at Cardiff City Stadium. Two goals from Harry Wilson early in the second half put Cymru in control of the game they had to win to keep their chances of qualifying automatically to Germany.
This victory has the potential to make Croatia fail to advance to Euro 2024. Wilson, who played for Fulham that day, celebrated his 50th stamp. He performed very well in a duet with David Brooks throughout the match, and the two collaborated to score Wilson's goal after the break.
Through a narrow shot that passed Dominik Livakovic, the hosts took the lead, and Wilson immediately doubled their lead with a clever header from Dan James' cross. Mario Pasic's head goal made the match even tighter over the past 15 minutes plus extra time, but Wales managed to keep the win.
The team raised by Robert Page has had difficulties in their group so far, especially after a detrimental away defeat to Armenia in June. The result left them with a tough job. These results meant they had to win the last three games to qualify automatically, although they might have a chance through the playoffs.

The win over Croatia put Wales in second place in the group with ten points after six games, with two games remaining. They have the same number of points as Croatia, but are ahead in head-to-head matches. Wales drew 1-1 in Split in the group stage.
Both teams are now competing for a second automatic place to qualify for Germany. The leader of the Turkish group has made sure to qualify for next summer's tournament after beating Latvia 4-0.
Wales will travel to Armenia next month and then host Turkey in the final important group game, hoping that two of their last two matches will take them to Germany.
