Kertajati Airport Improvements Targeted To Be Completed Before October 29
JAKARTA - The management of West Java International Airport (BIJB) Kertajati Majalengka, West Java, ensured that all facilities at the flight facility were completed before October 29, 2023, so that it would not interfere with the opening of the airport's operations.
"It's under construction. That's before October 29 is over," said PT BIJB President Director Muhammad Singgih in Majalengka, Sunday.
He explained that the repair was carried out to perfect the facilities, because at the end of October 2023 commercial flight activities at Kertajati Airport began to open.
Overall, Singgih stated that the facilities and facilities at BIJB Kertajati are ready to be used by passengers who will travel by air through the airport.
"If we make sure BIJB is ready on October 29, it starts with seven routes," he said as quoted by Antara.
For the seven routes, said Singgih, it consists of flights to Makassar, Denpasar, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Kualanamu, Batam and Palembang.
His party continues to intensify socialization to the public to immediately try flights from Kertajati Airport.
"That's the initial start of the seven routes. Later it will follow developments," he said.
Furthermore, Singgih revealed that all tenants at Kertajati Airport will be opened following the operation of the flight facilities.
"Tenant will operate directly, basically they are already operating here. Later on October 29, as soon as they start the direct flight, they will operate again," he said.

In addition, his party has coordinated with a number of local tourism offices, to collaborate so that areas that become BIJB buffer areas can feel the positive impact of opening commercial flights at Kertajati Airport.
Referring to previous information, currently there are several airlines such as AirAsia Indonesia, Super Air Jet, and Citilink which serve seven flight routes at Kertajati Airport.
