Watching The Total Solar Eclipse On Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost
JAKARTA - Rolls-Royce, a premium premium auto brand from England, officially launched the Black Badge Ghost Eklepisis Private Collection which was specially designed. This luxury sedan shows an elegant look on its exterior and interior.
Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said the car was inspired by the phenomenon of solar eclipses, a rare event that occurs every few years on earth.
"In capturing the wonders of this phenomenon's alignment, designers, engineers, and craftsmen are once again improving contemporary expertise, with a series of beautiful details projecting the brand's ambition culture and excellence," Torsten said in a statement, Thursday, October 12.
Based on the Ghost model, this car is decorated with a touch of Lyrical Copper color which produces fine light like a solar eclipse. The magnificent color is combined with a powder of copper pigment, resulting in more colorful creations when under lighting.
Adding to the impression of luxury, Mandarin accents are presented on the tube bumper painted with hands, middle cap, and caliber brakes resembling the sun's hidden light behind the moon when entering the eclipse period.
With the theme 'Panoramic Sunset', the interior combines the Mandarin and black colors on the leather seat. Meanwhile, the dashboard panel is depicted in the stages of a total solar eclipse with 1,846 stars carved using lasers. The work of this section is claimed to take more than 100 hours.
The main highlights are on animation from the Starlight Headliner or irradiated stars with a concentrated background of the night sky on the interior ceiling surrounded by 940 stellar ellipticals and 192 other stars that appear far scattered.
Once again Rolls-Royce shows dedication by replicating the animation every time the door is closed or the driver starts the engine. The animated display remains visible for 7 minutes 31 seconds representing the longest duration of the total solar eclipse.
Talking about the runway, the manufacturer still maintains the existing engine on the basis of the model. This special edition of the Black Badge Ghost is equipped with a 6.7 liter twin-turbo engine that produces up to 592 dk of power combined with eight automatic transmission accelerations.
