Airlangga Calls For Termination Of Israel-Palestinian War
Thousands of people crowded Si Jalak Harupat Square, West Bandung Regency, to pray with the Golkar Party, on Wednesday night, October 11. This Golkar Bershalawat presented Gus Miftah and was attended by the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto.
In his speech, Airlangga strongly condemned the war between Israel and Palestine which is still ongoing. The chairman of Golkar called for all parties to try to stop the war that had claimed lives.
Airlangga asked Islamic cooperation organizations (OKI), the United Nations (UN), and the Indonesian government to intervene to stop the Israeli-Palestinian war, as soon as possible. The chairman of Golkar emphasized that the party bearing the banyan tree symbol rejected all forms of violence.
"The Golkar Party rejects all forms of violence, especially the armed war that caused this victim must be stopped," said Airlangga during his remarks at the Golkar Bershalawat event in the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium area, Bandung Regency, Wednesday night.
The Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs supports Indonesia's steps to take part or be actively involved in efforts to stop the Israeli-Palestinian war. He admitted that he had instructed the Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Meutya Hafid, who is also a Golkar cadre, to encourage the government to actively stop the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Airlangga also admitted that his party encouraged the OIC, the UN Security Council to immediately make efforts to stop the war so that the victims died would not increase. "The Golkar Party encourages the OIC, the UN security council to intervene to stop the war," said Airlangga.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the West Java Golkar Party DPD, Ace Hasan Syadzily, admitted that Golkar Bershalawat was held to commemorate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, National Santri Day, and the 59th Anniversary of the Golkar Party. Ace Hasan admitted that this activity was a direct order from the Ketum Golkar Airlangga Hartarto.
According to him, similar activities have also been held in East Java Province, some time ago.
"The Golkar prayer event was an order from the general chairman, I accompanied him to take part in the Golkar Bershalawat in Tuban, East Java. The General Chairperson (Airlangga) ordered us to carry it out," he said.
The Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR fully supports the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto as a Vice Presidential Candidate (Cawapres) accompanying Prabowo Subianto.

Ace said the decision was the result of a meeting with the Golkar party DPD in West Java. A total of 27 regencies and cities are ready to win Prabowo in pairs with Airlangga Hartarto in the upcoming 2024 election.
"We unanimously and wholeheartedly support the best son of the Golkar party who is currently the Coordinating Minister for the Economy to accompany Mr. Prabowo to become vice president," said Ace.
