Ahead Of The 2023 Mandalika MotoGP, The Number Of Passengers At Lombok Airport Reaches 7,000 Per Day
PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok International Airport, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) stated that passenger movements at local airports reached 6,000 to 7,000 per day, both arriving and departing ahead of the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit.
"The average movement of passengers at Lombok Airport ahead of the Mandalika MotoGP is 6,000 to 7,000 per day," said Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I Lombok Airport Arif Hariyanto as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 10.
He said the increase in the number of passenger movements at Lombok Airport was not significant.
However, usually the increase in passengers at the Mandalika MotoGP event increases by D-1 in the race event on October 13-15, 2023.
"Usually the increase in passengers occurs in the H-1 race and D+1 or October 16, 2023," he also said.
He said Lombok International Airport adjusted the airport's operational service time to 24 hours during the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit.
"Starting from 13 to 16 October 2023, Lombok Airport will adjust the airport's operational time to 24 hours, from currently only 14 hours," he said again.
He also said that regarding additional flights or extra flights at Lombok Airport during the 2023 MotoGP period, to date there have been 44 additional domestic flights proposed by four airlines.
"In the period 10 to 17 October 2023, Garuda Indonesia proposed 26 additional flights, Citilink 8 flights, Super Air Jet 4 flights, and Air Asia with 6 flights," he said.

All logistics from Dorna Sports and logistics of the Mandalika MotoGP riders have arrived at the Mandalika Circuit, after previously being taken via Lombok Airport and the Sea lane of Lembar Harbor.
In addition, a number of MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 riders have also arrived via Lombok Airport, and they will conduct racing exercises on Friday, October 13 at the Mandalika Circuit.
