Manokwari Regent Murka Actions Between Schools: Very Disrupting Stability

MANOKWARI - Manokwari Regent, West Papua, Hermus Indou, condemned the masses who were the perpetrators of the bar blocking the road.

"Stop being like that. Blocking in any form should not be done because it greatly disrupts development stability and hinders investment here," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 10.

He said the Manokwari Regency Government had collaborated with the Manokwari Police to enforce Regional Regulation number 3 of 2021 concerning the implementation of peace and public order so that every bailout must be dealt with firmly.

"We have tried to work with the Manokwari Police Chief to ensure that in the future there will be no blocking," he said.

It is known that there has been a blocking action at SMPN 26 Gueintuy, Warmare District, Manokwari since Tuesday, October 10 morning and paralyzed school activities and teaching and learning activities. The action was triggered by demands for payment of customary customary land.

Responding to the omission, Indou expressed his concern and had asked the police to immediately take action against the silting action. Moreover, the silting action has hampered the younger generation of Manokwari from getting an education.

"The school there is not to educate other people to have children, but to educate the big family children in Warmare himself. Where do he have children going to school? So I ask that the bars be removed or today the Police Chief will also come down to see the person concerned (the perpetrator)," he said.

The Regent of Manokwari admits that many problems have not been resolved properly by the Manokwari Regency Government. However, to solve this problem, there is a path to communicating with the government and not being carried out in disgraceful ways to carry out the act of distribution.

"Until today, the problem related to customary rights at Warmare Junior High School has not been reported to me. So if there is a problem, come and report it so that we find a solution. Don't do it immediately," he said.

He invited all people to support development in Manokwari Regency and not take actions that actually hinder development.

"Let's work on development in all sectors in Manokwari Regency. I invite all people, let's support all parties who want to invest and want to carry out development in Manokwari," he said.
