Complete! 26 Players Join The First Exercise Of The Indonesian National Team To Fight Brunei Darussalam
JAKARTA A total of 26 players from the Indonesian national team squad (Timnas) who were called up by head coach Shin Tae Yong for the 2026 World Cup Qualification have fully joined the inaugural training, Monday, October 9.
The Indonesian national team is scheduled to undergo the first leg of the 2026 World Cup Qualification against Brunei Darussalam at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Thursday, October 12. From the monitoring of VOI.ID journalists in the field, players who take part abroad are already in the squad. They are Elkan Baggott and Shayne Pattynama. Then at the goalkeeper post the three names who were called were also present. The three names are Nadeo Argawinata, Syahrul Trisna, and Ernando Ari.
Apart from Baggott and Shayne, there are also Fachruddin Aryanto, Asnawi Mangkualam, Rizky Ridho, Edo Febriansyah, Pratama Arhan, Wahyu Prasetyo, Sandy Walsh, and Dzaky Asraf.
There are eight midfielders, namely Arkhan Fikri, Marselino Ferdinand, Ricky Kambuaya, Marc Klok, Rachmat Irianto, Witan Sulaeman, Saddil Ramdani, and Egy Maulana Vikri.
The last five names became the spearhead. The five players in question are Dendy Sulistyawan, Ramadhan Sananta, Dimas Drajad, Rafael Struick, and Hokky Caraka.
After playing an away match, Indonesia will then travel to Brunei headquarters. The second leg will take place on Tuesday, October 17 at Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium.
