Batik Business Intensive Training Is Considered Suitable To Empower Disabilities

JAKARTA - Disabilities have the ability to bathe as long as they get the right access and training facilities. One of them is batik business training to advance entrepreneurship and self-independence among people with disabilities.

PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) in collaboration with the Empowerment Embezzlement Foundation (YBMB) held a dynamic entrepreneurship training in Karawang on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. This training was designed and delivered using the help of a sign interpreter so that it is easy for participants to understand. By teaching tips and tricks to be successful in entrepreneurship, including designing business plans, digital marketing, product marketing, and batik aspects.

The material presented is expected to be a capital for them to dare to start a batik business. The event was also attended by the Special Staff of the President for Social Affairs, Angkie Yudistia.

The training program entitled Productive Disability: Tuli Batik Empowered aims to empower persons with disabilities, especially those with hearing impairments, by providing entrepreneurial skills. This initiative is in line with the commitment of PT Permodalan Nasional Madani and the Empowered Foundation to break borders in promoting inclusiveness and economic independence among people with disabilities.

PNM as a customer empowerment institution through financing and assistance continues to encourage ultra micro-enterprises to advance. In addition to providing financial capital, PNM is also committed to providing intellectual and social capital. Empowerment is directed at improving customer welfare, especially in economic development that creates a multiplier effect on social development and environmental development.

According to him, people with disabilities also have the same right to be productive and socialize in the community. "Behind the limitations, there must be an advantage, now it is our responsibility for how these deaf friends can be independent, make money, get a lot of knowledge and can always socialize in the surrounding environment," said the Special Staff of the President for Social Affairs in a media statement received Monday, October 9.

PNM does not stop at efforts to provide sustainable financing and assistance to increase the class of ultra-micro businesses to become more empowered. This sustainable financing and mentoring is what distinguishes PNM from other financing institutions.
