President Jokowi: Unity Can Solve Problems To Make It Easier
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo believes that the unity and harmony of the nation will be able to solve the various challenges and problems faced today.
This was conveyed by President Jokowi while attending the 2023 Jokowi Young Ulama Solidarity National Leadership Meeting (Samawi) at Istora Senayan, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Saturday, October 7
"I believe that with the unity, harmony that we have, solving problems becomes easier, because of our cooperation, harmony and unity," said Jokowi as quoted by ANTARA.
The problems that Jokowi is referring to include problems that are now being faced by almost all countries in the world after the COVID-19 pandemic.
"All countries experience and all countries feel both their health and economic affairs. And many have not been able to get out (from the problem). Their health can be completed but the economy cannot solve it," he said.
In addition, the war between Ukraine and Russia has caused food prices to rise in almost all countries.
The President emphasized that Indonesia itself imports 11 million tons of wheat, of which 30 percent come from Ukraine and Russia.
"Don't applaud imported 11 million tons. Because we eat noodles as well as bread and other ingredients made from wheat. Because we can't grow wheat in Indonesia, it grows but doesn't produce wheat," he said.

Furthermore, related to rice harvests that were disrupted due to the long dry season, and caused several countries to have started to stop rice exports.
"Just now, India stopped exporting rice, as a result, prices rose. Followed by other countries to stop. Be careful about this," he explained.
However, Jokowi believes that the principle of mutual cooperation that Indonesia has will be able to deal with every such problem.
