Drought In South Tangerang, 1,550 Residents Of The Clean Water Crisis
TANGERANG - The South Tangerang City Government, Banten Province has distributed 127,700 liters of clean water to 1,550 people in various places in the area affected by drought due to the dry season. Head of the Emergency and Logistics Division of the South Tangerang City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) M Faridzal Gumay said the distribution of clean water was carried out by the local municipal government together with private developers. Clean water distribution has been carried out from September 28 to October 4, 2023 after the request for clean water from people facing drought. "We continue to optimize the distribution of clean water, especially the dry season that is still happening and the impact is increasingly widespread," Gumay said, quoted by ANTARA, Friday, October 6, 2023. Based on data up to October 4, 2023, people in seven urban villages in the area experienced a clean water crisis, the impact of this year's dry season.

Areas affected by the drought include Kelanggan, Muncul, Setu, and Babakan sub-districts in Setu District, West Jurangmangu Village in Pondok Aren District, Ciater and Buaran Villages in Serpong District. The number of areas affected by drought due to the dry season is getting wider, from 18 to 23 points with a total of 1,550 families affected.
