After Playing Pingpong, PMB Unila Bribery Convict Dies At Rajabasa Lampung Prison
LaMPUNG - Convicted of the 2022 New Student Admissions (PMB) bribery case, University of Lampung (Unila) Heryandi died at the Rajabasa Correctional Institution (Lapas), Bandarlampung City, Lampung, Wednesday, October 4."Yes, this morning, the former deputy rector 1 of Unila passed away," said legal advisor Heryandi, Sopian Sitepu in Bandarlampung City, Antara, Wednesday, October 4.Heryandi is known to have died at around 08.00 to 09.00 WIB after exercising with his friend, one prisoner."After playing ping pong, he died, at around 08.00 or 09.00 WIB," added Sopian.Based on the information obtained, continued Sopian, when he first played tennis, Heryandi was in good health. However, after three sets of playing table tennis, the person concerned felt not strong."Then, Heryandi took medicine at that time, but at that time he immediately died. His body is currently in Bhayangkara Hospital," explained Sopian.Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor 4 Unila Ayi Ahadiat confirmed the information about the death of an international law lecturer at the Unila Faculty of Law."Yes, that's right, Mr. Heryandi died. Reportedly (the body) was buried in the funeral home," said Ayi.
Heryandi was sentenced to four years and six months in prison in the 2022 PMB bribery case in Unila.
